Not Being Loved Is A Simple Misfortune; The Real Disgrace Is Not Loving

Not being loved is a simple misfortune; the real disgrace is not loving

Loving without being loved can turn out to be one of the most difficult experiences we can go through in our lives. It is a time when we experience abandonment, sadness and a feeling of emptiness that becomes unbearable. We cannot want to love without paying a high price for the consequences this has.

When love is returned, we experience heaven under our feet, and that wonderful feeling that we can do anything, caring about nothing else.

But loving without being loved has another face, which presents itself as if life suddenly had no more meaning, as if everything that was built and lived before had lost all its value. Dreams and desires crumble, giving way to bitterness.

It is possible to overcome the sadness of not being loved

The disappointment and pain suffered by what we went through can destroy the lovers, leaving them submerged in despair and in a deep feeling of no longer being able to find another person.

This feeling is very common, as it belongs to the sadness that we drag, the hopelessness and the limitation of what we are able to see, in this situation that ends up becoming very dramatic. However, those who went through this whole process and experienced all the sadness  and loneliness that comes from not being loved know very well that, over time, the limitation with which they lived tends to widen.

They learn to live differently, stronger and with the experience that it is possible to regain joy and happiness, despite everything. Since our identity and will to live do not really depend on anyone but ourselves.

Love is always worth it

Love, in any case, will always be worth it, as it is a sign of life. A unique experience that changes our world and our way of seeing things. We acquire a special sensitivity to appreciate and value any act of love. Beauty becomes more intense and our emotions are more recognizable, so it’s simpler to identify them.

By loving, we open ourselves in essence to give the best of ourselves, which shows us the enormous beauty we possess and how privileged we are to have experienced love in all its splendor.

We are not always ready to love

To love and to be loved

Love comes for those who are ready,  for people who are at a time in their lives where they can allow themselves to incorporate that feeling into their entire being. The fact that love settles in us is a great privilege, regardless of the person we love, and whether or not we are reciprocated. Love alone is worth it for all it contributes to our lives.

In order to love, there must be a special predisposition of sentimental openness. There must be an internal connection, with a sensitivity that allows us to embrace the whole world of sensations that love makes us come across.

It is simply necessary to understand that this is a feeling that, just as it came, can go away, and while it lasts, it is necessary to enjoy it, live it, experience it; without fears and mistrust. We need to let ourselves be loved in order to be able to love,  which means letting all our energy flow, feeling that we are worthy of love.

Because love is a state of purity, our most intense flame, the breath of the soul; the piercing sigh that gives meaning to our lives…
